Top Layer
Unroll the second crescent dough sheet and carefully place it on top of the filling.
Add Topping
Brush melted butter over the top layer and sprinkle sugar evenly.
Bake
Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Cool and Serve
Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing into squares.
Tips
For stronger lemon flavor, add extra lemon zest.
Chill the bars in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours before cutting for cleaner slices.
Dust lightly with powdered sugar for an elegant finish.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days in an airtight container.
These bars taste even better the next day when the flavors settle.
